Jon's first blog

Hey all, as of now I am sitting in studio listening to some of the leads Richard has laid down for the new album. We decided to pull the release date ourselves so Rich could go ahead and put leads down. I was personally running dry on lead ideas and it was evident I was not capable of pulling off some leads the way they needed to be done. As a result, we went back into the finished tracks and Richard went crazy recording leads, he is about 80 percent done as of now and holy shit it sounds amazing.

On a sidenote my other KV is finally working again, it feels so nice to play that guitar. Me and " Thoraxe " have alot of good memories together so it's nice to have it up and running again. We still gotta fix Richards backup guitar so I guess that's next on the "To Do" list.

My brother was recently in town and man was it nice to see him again, it's been a while. We had this huge family reunion thing going on so even my cousins from the states ( Fort Lauderdale, Seattle and Albuquerque ) were here. Evidently Floridans know we exist and love our music, very cool.

I wish all of you could have been there as well, as many of you know this has been a stressful and trying time for me personally and it's only gonna get better from here on in.

I've been asked my opinion on religion by a few of you, probably due to my public blessings. And yes I am a religeous person thanks to Pator Dwayne at New Life Ministries. He made me aware of a few things and I tend to now believe however not to the extent of what some might think. The bible has been rewritten so many times it is impossible to say these were actual accounts of what occurred. I believe in God and I thank him nightly for all I have, and I believe in Jesus as well but I'm not going to go around and preach it to anybody because that is wrong. Religion, God and Jesus are things we must discover on our own period. I know I will take some flak for this but whatever, so be it, this is the last you will ever hear about my religious beliefs.

I have been asked by many people my opinion on the Benoit tragedy so I will give all of you that opinion now. In my humble opinion I think what Chris did was low, to take the life of your wife and child is absolutely sick. The thing is none of us will ever know what really happened that day, so I can't judge him or his actions... that's not up to me to do. All I can do is form an opinion based on the facts presented and those facts are depressing at best. To commit these murders over a 2 day period, place a bible beside each body and then commit suicide was not only premeditated, it was also cowardly.

Well, I gotta go, more leads to listen to and 2 amazing boys to play with

Beers, Bruises and Whiplash

welcome
